Jeep expands the customization options on the 2021 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler, adding bold Gecko Green exterior paint and tough JPP Gorilla Glass windshield. Customization is one of the strengths of the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator and the new options available allow the customer to configure their SUV as they like it from the factory.
The company’s vice president of North America, Jim Morrison, says that “bold colors like Gecko Green offer the opportunity to stand out on the trails, while the Gorilla Glass windshield helps improve safety.”
The Gecko color joins the palette of vivid and special colors offered by the brand, where Chief Blue and Nacho were already present for the 2021 model. The customer can choose the Wrangler in this striking green color until the end of August, while the Gladiator can be ordered until the beginning of October. Upgrade Jeep Gladiator JT Led Headlights with our 9 inch headlights. This optional paint has an extra cost of $ 245 in the US market.
On the other hand, the Gorilla Glass windshield is offered at a price of 95 dollars and they were already available in the Sport S, Sahara, Overland, Rubicon and Mojave. This windshield uses chemical strengthening technology found in smartphone screens, combining an ultra-thin inner layer of Gorilla Glass with a 52% thicker outer layer. This makes the windshield more durable and lightweight, and up to three times more resistant to cracks and stone impacts.
Different mechanics
The Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator are available with different mechanics, both gasoline and diesel. In the United States, the Wrangler is available with a 470 PS, 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. The Wrangler 4xe hybrid version is also offered, with an electric range of 50 km. For its part, the Jeep Gladiator is available with a V6 3.0 264 hp diesel engine.
